Helena van Vliet

Since the inception of her firm in 1990, Helena van Vliet has worked closely with a great variety of clients on projects varying widely in scale and circumstance.

Having grown up in Germany in a family of Architects, Helena moved to the US in 1980 to pursue graduate studies.

She holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the RwtH in Aachen, Germany, as well as a Master of Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania.

She is a member of the American Institute of Architects and licensed in the US as well as in Germany.

Over the years Helena has traveled extensively throughout Europe, the Americas, North, East and South Africa, Asia as well as the Middle East.

Helena has completed studies with the Institute for Bau-Biologie and Ecology in Florida.

She is familiar with the principles of Feng-Shui as well as those of the Green Building Movement and comprehensively incorporates various aspects of the above in her work for the benefit of her clients.

On an on-going basis she is acting as a planning consultant to various townships and historical commissions and has served as a visiting critic at the University of Pennsylvania.
